Kyle Turns 7 Years Old!!!

As unbelievable as it may seem our first born has turned 7 years old. It seems like yesterday he was just a tiny little baby in our arms.

We thought we were choosing a simple way for Kyle to celebrate his birthday, but as usual, we were so wrong! I don't know how we thought we could do simple with four kids and all the family and friends we have, but we keep trying to convince ourselves! We planned a simple pizza and video games around dinner time with 3 of his friends and some of our extended family. We got 3 separate events over the birthday weekend instead! Oh well there are worse things in life! We are blessed to have so many friends and family around. Kyle enjoyed himself as he usually does when he is the center of all of the attention.

Our first visitors were Papa and Grammie Donna. This is Grammie Donna working her "magic" with baby Hailey. Grammie Donna is the best at calming our babies. They just seem to relax with her. I think she has a special bond with each one of the kids. Unfortunately I was not on top of my game and this was the only picture that was taken during our visit! You would think I would have at least gotten one of Papa with the birthday boy! Sorry Kyle and Papa!

The next celebration was his pizza and video game "party" with his friends. Here is Kyle blowing out the candle on his cupcakes with our friend Olivia next to him.

Hailey thought her cupcake was delicious. It was her favorite part of the evening. She was truly entertaining as always!

Kyle is really into Star Wars theme Legos and was thrilled to get another set! He was equally thrilled with all of his gifts. We are very lucky that he is so easy to please.

Here are Nate, Hannah, Kyle and Mason playing one of Kyle's video games.

The next day was Kyle's "real" birthday. He got to take cupcakes to share with his Sunday school class. He was so excited about it. Our school doesn't allow treats for birthdays anymore so we were fortunate that his birthday fell on a Sunday and he was able to celebrate it at Sunday school instead. After church Grammie came to visit for the day and take us out to dinner to celebrate. Kyle chose Chili's so that is where we went. Here he is with more presents to open!

Joe was thrilled to go to Chili's for Kyle's birthday. He loves to go out to eat. What a treat!

Yes he got another Star Wars Lego set! It doesn't get any better when you are 7!

Kyle got to blow out his candles again on a smaller group of cupcakes this time. I think he would like to make cupcakes a normal part of his diet! And now that all the celebrations are over, we still can't believe our baby is 7!!!
